Have your Jabal Amman address and a way to contact the person meeting you ready before landing. The airport bus is useful for a low-cost arrival, but it leaves you with an onward journey. A direct car can make more sense with several passengers, large bags or an arrival when you want to reach the building without a transfer.
Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) serves Amman. If you are coming for German Jordanian University (GJU), save your accommodation entrance and the Jabal Amman campus building separately. A university name alone is not enough for a driver to choose the correct campus.

Before you fly
- Save the full address, map pin, building number and arrival contact offline. Ask how you will get inside if you arrive late.

- Tell the arrival contact your flight number and expected landing time. Agree what to do if the flight is delayed.
- Check how your phone will connect, and save your transport booking if you have one. A screenshot is useful before your local line is working.
- Count your suitcases and note any unusually large item, wheelchair or other equipment when arranging a vehicle.
From landing to the public arrivals area
Follow the airport’s arrival signs for passport control and baggage collection. Keep any documents required for your particular entry category accessible. After collecting your luggage, check that the bags are yours and report missing or damaged luggage to the airline’s handling desk before leaving the collection area. Allow time for these steps before ordering a car for immediate pickup. Share your progress with the arrival contact once you can connect. If you need cash, look at the charges shown by the cash machine or exchange desk before accepting a transaction, and keep smaller notes for onward expenses.

Sariyah Airport Express: fare and where it takes you
Sariyah lists loading points at Queen Alia International Airport, Seventh Circle and the North Station in Tabarbour. The passenger ticket is JOD 3.40, with Visa payment available; tickets can be bought at the airport or North Station office or from the driver. The airport timetable has overnight departures, and the operator states Friday departures are hourly. Sariyah fares, timetable and route maps.
Choose the Amman stop with your onward trip in mind. Seventh Circle is not First Circle, and the North Station is not downtown. Neither completes a door-to-door journey to Jabal Amman. Before boarding, show staff the stop you intend to use and ask where you will get off. Then arrange the final leg to the correct building.
For a 2 am airport departure, the operator’s published timetable includes a service at that time; later overnight departures are also listed. Check the live departure situation at the counter after clearing arrivals. The bus timetable concerns the airport departure, so allow for passport control and baggage before deciding which departure you can catch.

Official airport taxi pickup
Royal Jordanian directs arriving passengers to the airport taxi kiosk and administrator outside the arrivals hall’s main exit. Use that official point to confirm the destination and fare. Show the building pin as well as “Jabal Amman,” and check whether the vehicle can carry every passenger and bag. Royal Jordanian airport transport guidance.
Ask for the full amount before departure and keep the receipt. If you have an approved work-travel policy, confirm the receipt requirements before paying. An onward journey from a bus stop is a separate city trip; compare its cost with a direct airport car when travelling as a group.
Using an app at the airport
Uber’s airport page says pickup instructions become available through the app after requesting a ride and matching with a driver. Follow the current terminal and pickup directions in the booking. Arriving late, with children or with access needs
Send the accommodation contact a message when leaving the airport and agree how to reach them at the entrance. For a child seat, accessible vehicle or additional luggage space, arrange the requirement before travel; do not assume the next available car has it. If you expect assistance inside the airport, arrange it with the airline before flying.

The return journey to the airport
Work backwards from your airline’s required airport arrival time. Add time for the trip, a possible bus transfer and reaching the departure point with bags. For a bus, confirm the direction and stop separately from the arrival journey. Save the flight details and the operator contact before leaving your home connection.
If you have been based at one university building all semester, check the airport destination carefully when booking. Keep the passport and boarding documents outside the bag you will check in.
